Finding a domain

With such a big and fuzzy idea as Swift, it’s often hard to get a firm plan in place.
I initially chose process simulation & scheduling, then a business analysis tool
In fact, much of my time has been taken up with researching the specific applications of it, and where to start.
Boiling it down, these are the potential applications (many of which I’ve dabbled in):
- Business Analysis/Intelligence Tool
- Process simulation/analysis/scheduling
- ETL (data transfer) and data maintenance tool
- Rapid visual scripting tool
- Collaborative model-oriented visual coding tool
For it to be useful fast, either the ETL or BI tool seems to be the smartest choices.
So ETL it is.
Being a visual ETL tool, it sounds worryingly close to SSIS, but fear not - it’ll be much more intuitive
In the next post, I’ll elaborate on what will be original about *this* concept as opposed to, say, SSIS.
